The Fabrication Process

Pieces are marked for identification and sent for finishing — typically hot-dip galvanizing, primer, or paint. Finished pieces are delivered to the site on a schedule coordinated with the general contractor.
Code Compliance and Inspection
All structural steel fabrication in British Columbia must comply with CSA W59 (Welded Steel Construction) and CSA S16 (Design of Steel Structures). CWB certification is required for structural welding. On-site inspection by the engineer of record or a third-party inspector verifies that fabricated components match the design and that field connections are properly made.
